Rides Columbus Again reviews
I do like this product as it has many “bells and whistles”(which I’m still learning). I also appreciate that by buying through Amazon I will be able to upgrade to Microsoft Office 2010 later this year at no additional charge. The only drawback so far is that several people to whom I send e-mail can’t open the contents because their older model computers don’t have the capability to open it. They also aren’t comfortable enough with their computer skills to know how to go online to download the programs to help open it.

This is my first GPS sports watch and it’s freakin’ awesome! It does everything I thought it would do plus much, much more. This is a great toy/tool to use during your workouts and it’s a great way to analyze the quality of the workouts. Well worth the money at $150!!!

About and Christopher the Columbus
I bought this to use with my Garmin Nuvi. I drive a Ford Expedition. It has a big flat dashboard. This bean bag (portable friction mount) works perfectly! When not in use, I grab it and set it down on the console out of sight. When I need it again, I set it back up on the dash board. It stays where you put it even in a panic stop. It does NOT move at all. While it is just a bit bulky, it seems to be the right size/weight/design to do the job intended without any flaws. What more could you ask for?

Of The Columbus Voyage must go on
Our Eureka Altima was falling and cracking apart after 3 years of usage. I read a very favorable review from Consumer Reports and saw this on Amazon. I’m very pleased with its performance and features. I used to like the visual aspect of seeing the bin fill up on non-baggged vacs; but after using this unit for a few weeks now, that’s not an issue. I do like the red indicator on the front of the unit to give me an idea when the bag needs to be replaced. The headlight on the unit is very bright compared to other vacs we’ve used. It helps in the darker corners and other areas such as beneath coffee tables etc. It seems a touch quiter than our old Eureka. I feel we’ll continue to use Hoover products from here on out.

Pros
1. Free internet access to email
2. Free electronic books
3. I can see potential for on the road RV’ers with access to lost of books and free email access
Cons
1. You can buy a lot of used books for $4 versus the common $9 price for Kindle books.
2. You can’t abuse it like a book and my books get messed up from highlighting, marking, side notes, bathroom reading, reading on a sandy beach or by a wet pool.
3. You cant sell your Kindle books or give them to friends when your done with them.
Think of The Columbus 500th Anniversary ?
I had tried numerous Sportline products and found none that worked. This Omron is great.
Only drawbacks is you can not turn it off. It seems to reset during the night, but occasionally it doesn’t seem to always start up after sitting for a few days. Meaning it doesn’t start registering my steps without pushing a few buttons. a strange feature. However, when it gets going again, it is outstanding!

I gave this as a gift, so I can’t comment on it, except the person that received it said it did a good job.

The Kindle is the answer for me. I held off for awhile and read all the reviews, and dithered, but I’m glad I got this one now. Perfect blend of technology and form. I found it a bit light for me at first, but with a cover, it is perfect for me… with cover bent around the back for “one handedness” or open. Also for protection added a skin and a screen protector… no problems with pushing the buttons or glare. Whispernet for me has been handy to convert docs or pdfs to take on trips… I find the “raw” files a bit small to read unless I turn the Kindle sideways. I am very happy with my purchase and my “system”.
