As a child of the 50’s and 60’s, I remember the Jim Crow laws well. Like Skeeter, I had two wonderful maids who I adored. My mother treated them with respect. I was not taught to hate different races. I was so sheltered in fact, that in later years, I was shocked to realize such things occurred. I remember “colored” public restrooms, a segregated balcony for “coloreds” in the theaters in downtown Atlanta, and “colored” drinking fountains. This book was wonderful and the author is commended for bringing back both good and bad memories of those times. The best book I have read in a long time. I could hardly put it down.

I received it a day earlier than it was supposed to come. It was better than I had imagined it would be even though there were a few things I noticed later. For example it will freeze for a couple seconds every once in a while and the red ball 2 app will have a glitch if you jump onto an invisible ledge on only my ipod. Besides that I am pleased with my purchase and think it is worth the money.

I love my Ipod Touch! It is extremely fun and useful. I almost use it more that my computer (it connects much quicker to the Internet). You can do almost anything you can on your computer if you dont’t mind the smaller images. If it only had an incorporated mic and camera it would be the best thing ever (that’s why I only gave it 4 stars)! The problem with it not having a mic is that you have to have the headphones that come with it to use some of the voice features, and I usualy either use it without headphones or with my Bose ones. I didn’t want to have to pay $20 a month for an IPhone so I opted for the IPod. It really is neat, but I do find myself now carrying both my regular cell phone and IPod around. The IPod has so many features that it really does make my life easier, I have to have it with me all the time. It was a great product, and as always, Amazon did a wonderful job delivering it. I wanted this for my birthday, but ended up deciding a bit too late. I ordered really late Thursday night and my B-day was the next Wednesday. There was no way it was going to arrive….wrong!!! I received it on Tuesday, only 3 business days later. I was amazed and extremely happy. Thank you Amazon and Apple for making my day!
Magic Bullet To Go

I had a polar hrm before this. This item blows the polar away. It actually motivates me to run so I can go back home and upload the data to my computer and then look at all the charts and graphs. I can see the data that is important to me like heart rate, speed, and pace. You can even export it to google earth. Pretty cool.

My favorite feature is the real time pace. This has helped me a lot during training and running a 5k. I can see if I am going to slow or be wowed by how fast I am actually running.

I have not spent enough time to get familiar with all the menus and options because right out of the box it gave me almost everything I was looking for. May pick up the foot sensor so I can get the same kind of data while running on the treadmill.

Great product – does just what it says, and eliminates the frustration in cold weather climates of the suction-based mount falling off the windshield. Very nice. Now if I could just come up with a snowmobile mount…
When The Lights Go

Our yellow lab is 6 months old and is a regular shedder. Before we got the FURminator his fur was everywhere even after daily brushing. Now we groom him every other day and what a difference.
